DIDI Project Design Space provides a unique opportunity for students to gain real-world experience in the field of design. Project Design Space sets itself apart from other innovation clubs by offering student teams the rare opportunity to work on real design projects for actual clients. Our clients for this year’s design project challenges are Dubai Holding, The Dubai Mall, Centrepoint and Emirates Marine Environmental Group.

More than 4,000 students in grades 5-12 from all 7 Emirates participated in Project Design Space this season. The students were given a design brief for each client and were asked to present a solution to the business challenge. After 16 intensive weeks of work in both after school workshops and at DIDI on-campus Design Jams and Bootcamps, the final teams pitched their idea live to the judging panel, and 8 teams were announced as winners for DIDI PDS Season 3:

  • Dubai Holding Challenge winners are Our Own English High School and Greenwood International School.
  • The Dubai Mall Challenge winners are GEMS Millennium School and North London Collegiate School.
  • Centrepoint challenge winners are Al Manahil Private School and Al Hudaibah School.
  • Emirates Marine Environmental Group Challenge winners are Dubai and Northern Emirates Home School and Institute of Applied Technology – Ras Al Khaimah.
